12 illegal gaming machines seized from 3 locations in McColl MCCOLL, SC (WMBF) Twelve illegal gaming machines were seized from two businesses and a residence in and around McColl after numerous complaints to police and the Marlboro County Sheriff Office.The machines were taken from The Village Grocery, Outlaw and a home in the 1300 block of Elizabeth Lane in McColl, according to a news release from MCSO. The machines seized from Village Grocery were in operation and being played at the time. Money taken from these machines is connected to illegal gaming.The machines at Outlaw and the residence were not working, but were being used for potential parts, officials stated. The MCSO and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division will consult with the 4th Circuit Solicitor Office about criminal charges and destruction of the machines."I have warned numerous owners and citizens over the past year about these machines," Sheriff Knights said. "If we come back to a location that we have warned or seized machines in the past and they haven listened, then they will be charged as a directed by the solicitor.
